3 p spirit (such as brandy, or vodka)
1-3 p syrup (may be made of equal parts sugar and juice)
Mix spirit with syrup (made of fruits, herbs, spices, almonds, cocoa or carob, coffee, vanilla beans, wood, flowers, caramel, butterscotch, mint, mulled cider, etc); 15-55% ABV.
Sample Recipe
AMARETTO LIQUEUR – 1/2 c water, 1/2 c sugar, 1 c vodka, 1 tbsp almond extract, 1 tsp vanilla extract; combine water and sugar in a saucepan; heat and stir until dissolved, then remove from heat; stir in remaining ingredients; 15-55% ABV.
